Nightstar snarled and leapt at the tom that had attacked her. Two other cats with dark fur leapt out of the grass and crashed into her, sending her flying backwards, neck bleeding heavily. Shrieking, Fluffylemon snatched up some moss and pressed it into Nightstar’s wounds, before vanishing into the deep sea of grass as a cat attacked her. Tawnydoe was lying rigid on the ground, hardly able to speak as Basilfoot, an older Starclan residence, shouted her name.
Owlpenny was fighting two cats back-to-back. Suddenly one of the cats sliced their claws down her spine, and she let out a wail. Both cats pinned her down.
NO! Nightstar thought, stumbling to her feet as they leaned down to kill her. Out of nowhere, Burntsoul appeared and forced them away, crying, “don’t hurt her!”
The cat that had first attacked her hissed, “Starclan isn’t strong enough to fight off three Dark Forest cats, eh?” Slightly faint from her open wounds, Nightstar thought, wait?? the Dark Forest?
