Kain

A vampire, once mortal, or really... Human. And when he was human he was killed... Not long before however, the pillars of Nosgoth became corrupted, all thanks to dark forces. The balance pillar, the one being killed first, was the reason behind the pillars corruption. After which Kain is killed and resurrected as the balance pillar, and as another being... A vampire. After Kain's transformation he sought to kill the rest of the pillars, so that new ones can be born and the land of Nosgoth can return to it's past form, and so he did. After which he returned to the pillars to see that they are still corrupted. This is when he is informed by the spectral form of the guardian of the balance pillar, that in order to truly save Nosgoth... Kain must sacrifice himself, so that a new balance guardian can be born. Doing this however, would rid the world of the vampire species, with Kain being the last. In which Kain does not sacrifice himself, hoping he can save Nosgoth, and have the vampire species live...
