In medieval times, witches and mages were two separate things. Mages were healers and Castle Mages were the most well-respected. Witches performed magic the same way Mages did, but for some reason, they were seen as horrible beings.

A witch was once sacrificed to a demon god.

The sacrificer's mistake was not knowing what a demon mage was.

Now the demon mage lives respected as a Castle Mage. Not many know what she is.

UNFINISHED! Will take down and fix at a later date.
