Bones - Part 6

Raxem was falling. She was fully enveloped in the bank of clouds, a uniform screen of misty purple in the light of the coming dusk. She was completely alone in the hazy sea; she could no longer see the craggy roof, or the rocky spire, or her friend perched high above. She caught only brief glimpses of broken boulders accompanying her through the heavy embrace of the cloud. Droplets of water clung to her skin, setting a cold mask across her face and arms. If not for the vicious flapping of her cloak and hair, Raxem would have been lost for any indication of direction. Panic gripped her heart as she plummeted through the endless mist, suddenly hit by the reality of her situation.

Wait . . . no. I ??

But I . . .

I have to get to the Capitol . . . I ??

This can’t . . .

I can’t . . .

But I . . . I have the answer.

I have the key.
