Bones - Part 1

The tremors shook the dusty vyrn trails, sending chips of stone cascading into the hazy abyss. Across the void, crumbling ledges brought forth a rain of deadly shards streaking through the purple mist to the world below, and weaker magtites threatened to break off entirely, fine seams weakening their crucial anchor to the tellusphere.

The trio dashed along the winding edge, constantly pelted by a hail of broken shards. At the back, Raxem struggled to maintain the pace, stumbling with every jolt of the rock below her feet. She was grateful for the heavy cloak protecting her from the worst of the falling debris. At the front of the group, the general was covered in bruises and scrapes, but her resolve was as tough as the skin of her wyvern; she betrayed no sense of pain, only steely determination to outrun the avalanche.
