2020. The year Covid-19 hit the US.
I started online school that year. It was pretty difficult at first, but I got used to it. Although, there was just one problem. I didn't really get to socialize with anyone. I've always been a very extroverted person (Both of my parents are extroverts, so I kind of had it coming lol), so me not getting to talk to anyone really brought me down. Did online school again for 7th grade. Was still really bummed. They blocked Google Hangouts. Couldn't talk to anyone. 8th grade, still doing online school. This is probably the darkest place I've ever been in before. It felt like I was in total isolation. I wasn't really depressed or anything, (at least I don't think I was), but it still felt like I was falling apart. Also, I was chronically online, so that really didn't help my mental state either. Graduated 8th grade. Spent the entire summer not really doing anything except listening to music. But now, me going to Highschool (9th grade), I'm going in person for the first time in like 2 years. That empty feeling is over, thank goodness. I get to socialize again after what felt like an eternity. Feels good to be back to my roots.
