If that makes no sense its bc I'm bad at explaining and hue shifting is kinda complicated... ig?
If you want to make your own hair style instead of using others, edit people and change the colour ( credit them ) then tweak it slightly and then keep using that hair as a base for your...
Idk if these will help tho
- if you struggle with the shape try and make the parts that stick out when it curves (if you know what I'm talking about) tey and make those sticky out bits thick, and not just 1 pixel bc otherwise it looks like a splat.
- on the outer layer, add where the light hits and think about where the hair falls and where it bounces based on the shape, e.g. if there are space buns make those lighter
- the outer base should be mostly the lighter shades of your pallets because, the highlighted parts stick out ( mostly ) and the under layer should have mostly all colours of the pallet
- if your making a pallet for your hair base I USUALLY make it a bit muted bc bright hair looks unnatural even if its dyed and difficult to match with skin
