Dragging a claw along a rock so that a bone-chilling scraping noise drifted into the air, she smirked and said, “hopefully you two are ready for battle, because you start?? now!” Mei’s vision spun as she was bundled back toward the cave, falling down a partially hidden hole and twisting so that she landed on her feet, which Shadowleaf also landed.
A growl made their heads turn, and a huge, drooling dog leapt from the shadows and Shadowleaf slammed Mei out of the way, and the both scrambled up the rocks, unable to get out as they slipped on pebbles.
Seeing an exceptionally sharp rock jutting out, Mei quickly made her way to it, hooking her muzzle strap on and tearing it until it fell off, hitting the barking dog on its head. Shadowleaf leapt over to do the same, but slipped and fell beside the dog, recovering fast and widening her eyes. “Shadowleaf!” Mei screamed, about to jump down when Chie came out of nowhere and landed on the dogs’ neck, latching on and not letting go. Soon it fell dead, and a voice from above rumbled, “get them.”
