The Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper was an entity created by the new ruler of the nether, Nether Steve to defend the Nether from possible intruders. He wanted to ensure nobody could enter the Nether and bring a battle directly to him, keeping him and his operations safe within his own dimension. That way too, if anyone were to enter his domain, it would be impossible for them to leave if they were not strong enough to take on the Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper is a very powerful, very loyal being that is tasked with protecting all gateways to the nether, including Nether Portals. He lies in a world between the Nether and Overworld, granting or denying travellers access to the Nether through all means necessary. He is a skilled duellist and has the ability to teleport, turn invisible, summon lightning and teleport others to places where he wants them to end up. He also has a freakishly large amount of physical strength, able to lift tonnes upon tonnes in mass.
