hello tis spaghetti (aka losing hats alt). I was in charge of finishing up this chapter and getting it posted today, as all of eclxpse’s known alts (me, spade shovel, and falling planet) are currently in control of main acc.

yes I recolored eclxpse’s book pixel art thing and made it pastel, so it’s not so blinding to stare at anymore.

uhh there’s mentions of blood at the end of this chapter so don’t read that part or something if you don’t like it.

please do not comment until I say “is falren seriously a thing now?-”

is falren seriously a thing now?-
(you can comment now)

hmmm semi-cliffhanger this time but not really-

okay but seriously, in the original story, falren was never a thing. aeryn and trevor were literally just only friends-
see, this is what happens when you let spaghetti write the chapter this time. (all the stuff in the first comment is weeks old, and then second comment stuff to last comment stuff was from today-)
so yay ig

shovel’s gonna post an actual skin now, so hold on
“Oh, wait!” Frey suddenly exclaimed. I just remembered that I always carry a bag of bandages and cloth with me wherever I go!” Frey reached into one of his pockets and took out a fresh cloth and an eyepatch. We cleaned the blood off of our friend and gave him the eyepatch.
“Thanks..guys..” Trevor slowly said.
“It’s no problem. I think you should rest though, Trevor.” I said. We found a bench nearby and we all sat there with Trevor as he rested on it.
This has all surely become quite the experience that I don’t think I will ever forget..
That was when a body came flying through one of the windows of the train station, farther down from us. It hit the ground, and I immediately ran over to see who it was.
“Aeryn! Stop!” Frey tried to grasp onto my arm and pull me back but he missed.
I fell to my knees upon seeing the figure’s face: it was Trevor, and his eye was glossed over in blood, and there were rips in his vest
“Trevor!”
“H..i Ae..ryn..y-ou g-uys ma-de it..” The blonde-haired boy looked over at Frey and I. “Oh..d-on’t worry a-bout me..I..I’ll be f-fine..”
“We need to take you to a doctor!” I said. “Are there any doctors around here?”
“Not..a-nymore..this wh-ole part of P-asttown is almost a g-hosttown now..”
“Aeryn, just relax. I know he’ll come, he’s strong..” Frey reassured me, but I was still worrying about him.
“But what if he doesn’t come?? We literally left him in the danger zone! He could be dead- or even worse, been taken captive and we’ll never see him again!”
“Aeryn, please relax and also be quiet. There could be spies watching us.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right..”
There was the sound of a gunshot right outside. I wanted to believe it was Trevor, but then there were more, so I started internally and externally panicking. Frey held me and tried to get me to calm down.
“Shh!”
I climbed out the window first and luckily managed to get to the ground without breaking any bones. After I got out safely, Frey climbed out and also landed alright. We looked up at Trevor who had a gun in both of his hands, and he nodded at us, signaling for us to run now.
And so we ran without looking back, not even once. We needed to get out as fast as possible and without getting caught by anyone.
We almost got caught a few times, but Frey and I were luckily able to get to the train station safely. We hid inside the main room and then it was pretty much a waiting game to see if Trevor would come or not.

An hour passed and he still hasn’t come..
“Where is he?” I worryingly asked.
We stayed like that for a few more moments until we all heard a door a few rooms down from us fall and hit the ground. In that case, we all sprouted up and ran back to the window.
“Quick! There’s not much time! You guys need to jump!” Trevor said to us, opening the window.
“But what about!-” I began.
“Don’t worry about me, just run as far away as you guys can from here! If I am correct, if you continue to run straight, there should be an abandoned train station. You guys can stay there until I get there too.”
“But what if you don’t make it?” Frey asked.
“If I don’t arrive there in an hour from now, then you can safely assume I’m either dead or I was taken captive.” Trevor replied. “Go, now!”
“Here!- Take these, they might come in handy.” Trevor suddenly said, giving both Frey and me guns. “Don’t worry about filling them up, they haven’t been used at all yet.”
“You’re so nice, Trevor..” Frey said to the other boy.
“Oh, fricking shut up.” Trevor turned his head away. “I’m only nice when I want to be..”
I got closer to the blonde-haired boy and gave him a hug, in which he instantly snapped his head back to look at me. Frey also hugged him. The boy struggled to get out from under all the arms on him, but finally let it go and slowly put his arms around us, finishing the big hug.
“Gather up every last citizen you can find and bring them through the portal. Leave no one remaining.” one of the strangers ordered to the other strangers.
Trevor shut the blinds of the window and dragged Frey and I behind some chairs.
“You guys need to leave. You can’t stay here, it’s not safe.”
“But what about you, Trevor?” I asked. After witnessing what’s going on just outside, I wanted to go home, or at least get back to Presenttown, but I also didn’t want to leave Trevor behind to face his capture.
“I’ll be right behind you guys. Don’t worry about me, you guys need to get out of here.”
We heard explosions just outside and people screaming.
“Trevor..?” I began. “What’s..going on?”
“Well-” the boy started, pausing after his first word in a couple minutes, “I really don’t know how to put this in a way that won’t make you guys freak out, but-” he paused again, “Look out the window-”
Frey and I walked to the closest window and outside of it, we saw a giant, growing Gateway Portal. There was lots of purple and black mist pouring out, creating a set of downward stairs as people were coming out of the portal.
“What!” Frey exclaimed. Trevor threw his mouth over the red-haired boy.
“Shh!! They might hear you!”
“Who are they?” I whispered.
“Do I look like I know who the frick they are!?” Trevor whisper-yelled at me. He threw his other hand over my mouth, and observed the strangers.
“Dear..” one of the women sitting on the floor addressed Trevor. “Is everything alright out there?”
The poor boy seemed to not know what to say in response. He speed-walked to Frey and I over at the window, and closed the blinds. He did that for the other window as well. Quickly, he faced the curious audience of innocent men, women, and children.
“G-guys..e-everything is alright..there is n-nothing to fear!” He was probably trying to stay calm but what was ironic is that his voice was choking on fear, I could easily tell.
“You don’t seem okay though, Trevor..” started Frey. “Are you sure that everything’s okay?”
Without saying another word, Trevor took both Frey and I and dragged us into another room on the small second floor of the building, and locked the door.
