A shading/skin making tip I can give is try to do dark colors on the inside of the legs, so left leg inside would be right side, and right leg inside would be left side. And same for the body and arms. Shade the darkest spots on the furthest right and left sides of the body. And left arm would be right side, right arm would be left side.

To shade top of head, top left and right. To shade bottom of head, bottom left and right. You can see this with most of my skins.
