Legend has it that deep within the Gloomwood is a primordial evil, older than the gods themselves. This evil has a name, that few dare to speak aloud: Marendlur. According to legend, he was defeated in battle by Erina, with the aid of The Architect, and trapped in the heart of the Gloomwood, cursed to remain there for all eternity.

But, of course, that’s all legend. And everyone knows legends aren’t real.
