Have you ever had a rumour spread about you? It's hard to find someone who hasn't. Rumours hurt, no matter how simple it is, there will always be someone paying the consequence. Most rumours aren't spread intentionally, but that doesn't change the fact that they don't hurt. Rumours can get people to do things based off of lies, and they pay the consequence for a idea that was accepted by multiple people and spread by ignorance. Rumours have taken lives, people have died by words that can slip so easily through ignorant and hateful lips. We have to taste our words before we split them out. Society is becoming a bit too trusting in one another. Be careful of what you hear and what you spread in the ears of many.
