As an important part of the Minecraft Multiverse, Herobrine have seen the destruction of his world he had conquered before. Remembering his past, he understand the importance of the existance of the Multiverse and decide to protect it from possible threats. When he discovered the goal of the Dark Steve, he tried to defeat him but was vainquished and died as a hero.
