Anakin Skywalker is the protagonist of the prequel trilogy of the Star Wars universe, and one of the protagonists of the 2008 computer-animated TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Anakin is the son of Shmi Skywalker, the secret husband of Padm Amidala, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, and the grandfather of Ben Solo. He is a legendary Force-user who served the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Knight, and later, after his fall to the dark side, he served the Galactic Empire as a Sith Lord named Darth Vader.
