basically, he was once an indigo steve who had hallucinations due to darkness then he was saved by reverse from a gang of nightmare steves followers and saw him as the real hero then he saw rainbow as reverse, who was weak from a fight with real reverse. he attacked him and absorbed part of rainbows power, but it was too much for him. he ended up looking like reverse, and was broken. once this happened, he was finally able to see clearly, and saved a drained rainbow by giving him a lot of his power. he was indebted to rainbow and they would both become friends. he ended up becoming the real hero to defeat the demons later on
