Finally, here is chapter 2 of Spirits of the West.
I'm too lazy to link chapter 1 here, so you guys can go find it for this chapter to make more sense.

Also I think I rather like this shading style I did for the skin. I know I keep changing my shading, but hopefully this should be the last time for now, xD.

Please do not comment until I say "ah yes the epic wall in a story".

ah yes, the epic wall in a story

Sorry for another cliffhanger, lol. (But not sorry too, hehe..)
"Well, now that you finally agreed to listen, I am Adrian." The boy, Adrian, continued. "This school has been set to be attacked on this certain date, September 30th, by the creatures from the Underground. Because, as you see Kori..this is not just a normal school." He paused for a second. "This place does not exist, and neither should you."
I groaned. I didn't want to know what he wanted to tell me, but I also didn't want to be stuck behind the fire forever.
"FINE! I'm listening..but this is your only chance to tell me."
He turned his head enough to where I could see a dark smile on his face. The boy walked back on over to me.
Then, with the strength I never knew I had, I knocked the boy straight to the floor and took off as quickly as I could towards my dorm. But he was too smart for me as he made a ring of fire around me. I was so close to the door.
"Please put out this fire. I don't know who you are or what you want from me, but-" I started. Of course he had to cut me off.
"No, Kori. You must listen."
How does he know my name?!
"I refuse to listen to you!"
"Alright~, if you refuse to listen, then you will forever stay in the center of the ring of fire.." the boy said as he turned and began to walk away.
"What do you mean you're 'saving my life'?! You just threw me up against a wall and set my shoe on fire! I'm sorry, but I need to get going." As I stood up, the boy grabbed my arm again and threw me at the wall again. This time, I got a better look at his face; brown hair with red streaks, and one red eye and one gray eye. I began to wonder what happened to his gray eye though..
"You need to listen to me." he only said.
"You need to let ME go!"
"No. Your school is under attack by-" But I cut him off.
"I know my school is under attack! Now get off of me!"
"Hey! You have no right to!-" I began. I attempted to kick him with my shoe, but to my surprise, with just one snap of his fingers, that very same shoe burst into flames! I threw the burning shoe off my foot as he spoke.
"Yes. I have every right to do this."
"Who are you.." I huffed.
"That is none of your business to know. I am trying to save your dang life right now, but you are refusing."
Saving my life? None of this is what I consider saving someone's life.
As Mr. Herman said this, the room's main reaction were gasps escaping the students' mouths. For some on the other hand, the first thing they did was either panic first, then run away in fear, or run and then panic at the same time.
I sprouted out of my seat and took off towards my dorm. At that point, somehow I had lost Luna and Macie, but I hope they are okay. I was almost at my dorm when my left arm got pulled back. I hit the wall and fell to my knees. I looked up to see a strange boy I have never seen before.
