That is indeed a way to do it. I am not really the kind of guy who follows trends though. I'm a little more old fashioned.
Actually im pretty sure im one of the only ppl that do it xD
I take a "noob" skin and kinda elevate it

Aw its ok, something that always helps me is I normally look at reshades or other skins that i want to outline, then change everything about it and make it mine- you always have to have a base when you start... it helps a ton :)
