Ultron stole the "cradle", but the Avengers took it back. Once they did, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner put the AI of JARVIS into the "cradle". And once Thor used a lightning bolt to strike it, it gave birth to an android and it decides to help the Avengers fight Ultron. The android is known as "The Vision".
