Even tho the BlueLeader knew that the BlueSteves can live forever, he always had a thought- "that what would happen if something happens to him... Some new evil.. some new revolt which would bring death upon him..". Therefore he got himself an Apprentice who could take care of the BlueSteves before and after him.
