One of the old Ender Watchers, his lust for power corrupted him to the point that he once tried to overthrow Queen Ceris, but failed. He was banished to the Overworld for his crimes against the End. He plans to invade the Nether to redeem himself."

Prior to Fractures, Lance was a member of the original Ender Watcher line up. However, he became corrupted by his own power and sought to challenge Queen Ceris for the throne. Lance was ultimately defeated and banished to the Overworld by his former allies, where he planned to take over the Nether to redeem himself. In Poison, he was hunted by Kane and the Nether Princess through the Swamp Lands, potentially because Kane posed hope to save Ciara. Fractures In Be Afraid, Lance, through the body of an Ender Frog, followed the Endstone Crusaders to the Frostbourne Castle. After hearing about the Fall of the End and the Endstone Crusaders' plan to find the End Crystals scattered around the Overworld, he teleported onto the table, promising to use his knowledge to help defeat the Nether.
