Tools:
- color palette for pretty colors (can use https://coolors.co)
- color blender to make things easy (can use https://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/color-blend)
- color picker if you only have an image of the palette (can use https://imagecolorpicker.com/en)

For this example, I used the palette on the left. Let's say the colors are C1, C2, etc. from top to bottom.

- Hair -
I like to blend between the brightest, warmest color (C1) and the deepest, coolest color (C3). Typically you want to use different hues so it looks more interesting. Between these two colors, I need 4 colors that transition in between, so I use the color blender to get the hex values of those colors. Then follow the steps~

- Clothes & Pixel Art -
I usually choose one color to be the "bright color" that I blend with every other color (as seen on front in bottom samples). However, sometimes the colors look muddy or not attractive, like the last sample. In that case, I choose another color to be the "bright color" and try again (as seen on back in bottom samples). Just keep experimenting!

- Pixel Art -
Try to decide where the "light source" is and use the bright side of the gradient when close to the "light".
