There's no harm in experimenting if there's a different style you'd like to try out!
but we can of course still appreciate existing and past styles for both the experience they gave us/will give us to improve and the fact they look beautiful as well; complicated, simple, or anywhere in-between<3

i can also testify that shading is a hard thing to get a good grasp on :') certain skin designs look better with a complex shading while others look better with a simple one-- hueshifting has a lot to do with it too; imo some hueshifting palettes look better with fewer colors
