Idk, here's chapter 8. I've been getting very lazy on these chapters lately, so this one's super short this time, very sorry about that.

Next chapter is going to be in Brendan's POV and I'm thinking that after chapter 10, I'm gonna make a character q&a where you guys get to ask questions to the characters of this story.

Aaaaa I don't know what's wrong with me today but all day I've suddenly been getting so many ideas for future chapters in timelines, it's ridiculous how many I've gotten today. Lol.

AnYWAYs, please don't comment until I say "bouncy castle :>"

"bouncy castle :>"

Ooof, super lazy chapter lol xD. Sorry I've just been a little busy and a whole bunch of writer's block and 0 ideas for what's ACTUALLY currently going on are just making it worse lol. I'll *try* to do better with chapter 9, but for now have this lazy garbage chapter 8.

long book this is gonna be this time, xD- (20-25 chapters I have planned around currently, lol)

okay um that's it ig bye-
I heard pounding on the door and looked up and it appeared the quarter was getting angrier and attempting to get inside. I sprouted up and ran to help Brendan keep the door shut. Trevor came and helped us too.
But then..
The door burst open..
And the quarter crashed inside.
And we went running until it seemed that the world flipped upside-down and we fell into a wormhole.
Into a strange, dark, unknown place...
We ran all around the park, trying to escape the angry corrupted quarter that was continuously growing bigger and bigger by the minute. Finally, we came across a small restroom so we ran inside, and shut the door before the quarter could get in. Trevor and I fell on the floor from exhaustion and Brendan tried his best to keep the door closed and not let the angry quarter inside.
“Well that was a close one..” Trevor said, also trying to catch his breath.
“Yeah, I’m just glad we’re all still alive.” I said.
“What the heck is that thing!! Something’s wrong with the quarter!!” Brendan exclaimed.
We all ran as far as possible from the corrupted quarter. I hoped it wasn’t following us, but like, it’s just a quarter; it can’t sprout legs or anything.
Although unfortunately, I think I kind of jinxed that...
The next thing we knew, we were being chased by an angry growing quarter with spikes rolling after us.
“Ah!! What kind of peaceful, relaxing park day is this!!” Trevor exclaimed.
“The quarter wants to eat us! Someone, help!!!” Brendan screamed. Unfortunately, no one came to help us.
“Uh..no..? It’s currency you use to pay for things..how would that be bad?” Brendan answered.
“Because when Jack saw it, he didn’t appear to like it very much. He was even trying to knock it out of my hand, like it’s something bad that he doesn’t like and I shouldn’t hold it.”
“Well maybe something *is* wrong with it?” I realized. “Can I see that quarter for a minute, Trevor?”
“Yeah, here you go.” he replied, giving me the quarter.
I examined it but found nothing wrong with the quarter. Well, that is until I flipped it to its other side. Then I saw a sort of blackness corrupting that side. It appeared to be continuously growing.
“Ah!” I screamed, dropping the quarter.
7 minutes later:

As Brendan and I were just exiting the entrance area for the roller coaster, we saw Trevor run up to us. He appeared to be holding something in his hand.
“Guys! I have a question!”
“Yeah, Trevor? What is it?” I was the first to ask. He showed us what was in his hand.
“Do you guys know what this is??” He was holding a quarter.
“Yeah..it’s a quarter..” Brendan replied awkwardly.
“A ‘quarter’? I’m not sure what that is, but cool!!”
“Where did you even find that though?” I asked him.
“I’m not entirely sure. It just fell from the sky and hit my head and fell on the ground.” Trevor replied. “Guys, are quarters bad..??”
“Now I’m sad that these bouncy things never existed in the past. I love this thing!” Trevor said.
“Hey, guys! There’s a really cool roller coaster out there! Wanna go ride it??” Brendan asked us.
“Aww..but I love this bouncy house-castle-thing.”
“That’s okay, you can join when you’re ready.” Then Brendan turned to me. “Frey? What about you?”
“Sure, I guess.” I replied.
“Cool. Let’s go!”
Brendan and I stopped jumping and left the bouncy house. I followed the boy in front of me over to where the roller coaster was. Once we got there we got on the ride, and waited for it to begin. This was one of those really big coasters that gradually rises up and then finishes that off with a large, long drop.
“Stay...” I told her. I heard a sigh of relief behind me.
“Yay, I’m so glad you made the right choice.” she said.
Now that I’m staying, what am I supposed to do now? I actually would rather risk my life to rescue my friends instead of sitting around and doing nothing to help them. Without us, they’re probably in a lot of trouble right now.

Frey’s POV - at a happy park:

“Whee!! This is so much fun!!” Trevor happily exclaimed while jumping in a bouncy castle.
“I feel like a little kid again!!” said Brendan.
“I haven’t done this since I was 6!! I miss those old times, but now I’m having fun here jumping up and down in a bouncy house like I’m a little child again.” I said.
