This is meant to be a human version of the Undertale soul type "Perseverance". During Muffet's fight the player turns this color, and has to go up and down from three lines. I thought they'd have a more "scientist" look to them because their items in game are "Cloudy Glasses" and "Torn Notebook". You buy these from Gerson in Waterfall. :)
