Fang is a hunting dog, a human takes care of him along with his brother Atlas.
One day out if the Forest the human shot a wolf, and it bled blue. The forest was not happy, and it called to Fang, telling him to come to the forest, that he must save them.
He came, his brother objective, but didnt stop him. He met wolves from different packs, but also learned of his past, and who he really was

This actually took me a while to write- dang wolf lore, why must you be so frustrating?

*And you have come,* Winter’s icy voice startled fang and he spun around, the great wolf was sitting close behind him.

*They took Alaska’s body to the middle of the forest, where a shrine lies. Water flowed in a circle around the stone pillar that sat there. What happened there no mortal wolf knows, only the gods can speak of what has happened. All we know is that Alaska’s soul had been wandering the forest for years, and it was told by the Oracles a Guardian would come to the forest with Alaska’s soul inside them,* Vale dipped his head, owl following, bending her neck low as a sign of respect.

Fang nodded, allowing himself to get comfortable as Vale continued.

*hey, if I’m getting old, them so are you, you’re only a season younger than me,* Vale countered, and Owl scoffed disbelievingly, *but were not here to talk about our age, were here to teach this young wolf about the gods, shall we continue?*
