Holly shook her head. "Nope." Alex looked worried. "You may stay in the village as long as you wish," she said. "You can stay in our tent." Holly was frustrated. Alex clearly was hiding something from her. But the widow was being so kind, she couldn't ask any more questions. Alex walked back into the tent and laid down in her bed.
Holly soon learned that the woman's name was Alex. "What's your name?" Alex asked. "Holly," Holly replied. Holly realized that she was in a small white tent. "Where am I?" "You're at Pine Village," Alex said. She looked serious. "You said you saw a firefly before you blacked out. What did it look like?"

Holly was confused. Why was a firefly so important? "Well it looked like... any old firefly. It was a yellow glow it was bright. What's so important about a firefly? Alex didn't answer her question. "Was there anything in the forest that could have knocked you out? Did someone hit you? Did you smell a gas or something?"
"What happened?" Holly asked. "How did I get here?" The woman hesitated before answering. "I found you near some bushes in the forest. I was going out to get fruit and then I saw your body. Do you feel alright?" Holly nodded. "I feel fine. I just want to know how I blacked out. I was watching a firefly and then I woke up here.

Holly wasn't sure if she imagined it or the woman got a startled look on her face when she mentioned a firefly. "Kayla it's time for you to go to bed," the woman said. She picked up the young girl and put her into another bed similar to the one Holly was sitting on. "I want to listen to that girl's story!" Kayla wailed. "Now Kayla," the woman said in a firm voice. She looked at Holly. "Let's go talk somewhere else."
When Holly opened her eyes she was no longer in the forest. The firefly was nowhere in sight. Holly sat up. How long had she been out? She felt hay underneath her body and realized that she was laying
down on a bed of hay. How had she gotten here? Then she heard a voice.
"She's waking up!" said a excited voice. Holly assumed it was a child's voice. "Hush, Kayla. She needs
rest," said a second voice. This voice sounded soothing and calm. "I'm awake," Holly said. She sat up. In front of her was a middle aged woman. The woman was wearing a white apron. A young girl was standing next to her. Holly guessed she was around 8 or 9.
Holly was enchanted by the firefly. A bright yellow glow was the last thing she saw before blacking out.
A gentle breeze flowed through the forest. Holly smiled from ear-to-ear. The wind would always be with her. Even if her friends from school weren't with her anymore, she wasn't alone. The leaves rustled behind her.

Holly might have been imagining it but she turned around as a beautiful twinkling sound filled the air. She brushed her dark hazel colored hair out of her face. She probably should go home soon as it was getting dark. The stars would be out soon. Holly's feet stayed in place. A single firefly emerged from a bush. Holly watched as it flew in the bush.
