A variant of the famous anti infantry flame marine hellbringers are the Cryo Trooper.

Employed by the UNSC Spirit of Fire's onboard AI, Serina, this unit replaces the normal Napalm of the hellbringer with tanks with Cryo spray that chills, freezes, and kills enemy units. The liquid is so cold it even shorts out vehicles, and structures for a small amount of time, giving them a tactical advantage.

These marine units are qualified to yield a large arsenal of weaponry of the UNSC including thermal, chemical, energetic, and biological that some and even most standard troops are unaware of.

Another parallel development made was the modified EV-44 Nightingale named the ZAV-48 Frostraven. Instead of the EV-44's 2 propellers, the ZAV-48 employes 4 propellers and no restoration drones, however it has added new weapon system - the vacuum energy extractor (cryo ray). And can be upgraded with a heavy variant. After the final dispensation of the Rampant AI Serina, Smart AI Isabel, and Professor Anders have looked to create a unit similar to Serina's style of combat, as a memorial to her heroic actions for the UNSC, and humanity.

In parallel to the Cryo Trooper; Smart AI Serina used modified and armoured APC M650 Mastodons vehicles Nicknamed "The Bison". Which this vehicle uses a cryogenic Coldsnap launcher with cryoshell ammo. Like that of an Air Conditioner, in reverse, the Bison takes heat from the environment to 'heat up' its weapons, and deploying a chill aura around it which chills the enemy making them slower, and often to freeze.

The helmet is similar to that of the spartan EVA helmet that was being developed during Project Mjolnir. An unforseen advantage to this helmet's issuing was its immunity to flood spores in the air, and added face and neck protection when hellbringers were deployed on anti-flood assignments.

The Cryo liquids used in these tanks are the same as the cryo liquids used in all UNSC ship Cryopods for cryogenic stasis during slipspace travel. Improper use of the liquid can cause a fatal failed cryostasis which Smart AI Serina used to her advantage in combat.
