I totally feel this. I'd say do whatever makes you feel proud of your skins no matter how many people see it. It's difficult to have faith in your own skins, but whenever you do, it feels amazing. Try experimenting with some new styles and see if it's what you really want to use, and if not, go back to styles you already have, or even edit them to your liking. I use a lot of different styles all the time, and it keeps me going. Happy skin making and I hope this helps!
