The creature dates back to 1500. These creatures are sentient and only move when you blink or look away and they can travel at 100 mph . These creatures lay eggs that hatch into floating orbs with red eyes and they must feed on human souls to survive. For eons they have been in hiding from their worst enemies.. Scorns I will make a scorn skin later
