AaHHh! Okay, I'm really excited to start this.

This is a collab story with the wonderful WisteriaGrove! She wrote the first chapter, and I have written the next. Links will be everywhere, dw.
Please pardon the lack of apostrophes in this chapter and why it's way shorter than Heather's. XD

Welcome to Dead End.

<<That doesnt really seem like him.>>

<<Maybe Runt was there, too.>> Pixel saw him shrug from the corner of her eye. <<Who knows.>>

<<Maybe,>> Diva ec***d. <<Whats her story?>>

There was a sigh before continuing. <<She wont tell. Asp says shes too stubborn and we shouldnt ask, but he guesses that shes just an orphan.>>

Silence filled the alley. Well, aside from the clattering of Pixels paint cans. Her face burned and she scrunched up her face. They really had the audacity to talk about her like that? Why did they even deserve to know her story?

<Cool it, Pix,> she told herself. <Focus on the task at hand. Theyre not worth getting upset over.>

I honestly struggle with both!
Characters are easier to work with, especially when you're inspired by another character/person, but plot comes a teeny bit harder to me XD

Nope. Not really, I was just trying to open up some doors and see what I want to do with them later. Go for it! :D

OoOooOO! Yeah dw about taking eight months, because I could NEVER finish something in that amount of time (unless of course I'm doing NaNo). Good luck on the second draft whenever you begin that!

Nahh I love people talking my ear off don't worry.

Also, just a random writer question, but do you struggle more with plot development or character development?

Aww thank youuu! I'll try. XD

And yeah, it's kinda getting me back into writing! I was on a bit of a break and needed to get back into the groove of writing. Dw about the next chapter, take your time! :D
WHEEEEE! :D
You may now comment.

Also yes, sorry for the lack of apostrophes. I wasn't really prepared for this. XD
Next chapter, instead of Pixels or its, it'll probably be Pixel^s or it^s, like what Heather does
<<You saw nothing, hear me?>> A sharp object was pointed against her chest threateningly. <<If anyone asks, NOTHING was here.>>

She thought for a secondjust a secondthat he looked like someone she knew. The way his left eye narrowed more than his right when he squinted. The way his voice had a hint of a . . . a twang to it. She couldnt identify it. Her mind was too full. She was too scared to think. She swore her heart stopped for a second from fear.

<<Got it?!>>

He was about to take off when there was a sudden, booming, bloodcurdling gunshot ringing through the air.
Then she bumped into something. Alert, she swiftly stepped away from whatever it was. It turned out to be a boy, only a little taller than she but three times more intimidating. He was deep within the safety of darkness, but Pixel could tell what he was doing. He was flipping through a stack of cash, probably illegal weapons lying in a pile next to him.

<<Agh!>> she breathed. She was terrified.

He looked up with such intense shock that Pixel almost pulled out a flimsy palette knife she carried with her. It was silly, but you never knew when it would come in handy. She came prepared everywhere she went.

The boy stopped counting his money and moved quickly but stealthily. Pixel was shoved hard against a wall. Words were uttered with quiet strength, dignified but petrified.
In a flash, she jumped back, aghast and fearful. She considered running straight past them, but although she was agile, they would likely catch her even sooner. She could run back to the alley, but then theyd all get caught. And by no means could she run into traffic!

<Only one way out,> she thought.

Just barely before the officer could look her way and study her well enough, she hastily scrambled into the closest alleyway. It was thin, but nearby enough. She tried to steady her breathing as she heard the confused and angry voices outside.

She couldnt tell what they were saying. Her heart pounded in her ears. She slid further into the crevice. Her mind was racing, but she told herself to slow down and calm herself. And she did!
A bit of the way off from the building, Pixel saw Mr. Kelen, a baker they had previously swiped quite the bundle from just a few days before. He was standing with a local officer in the doorway of his bakery. Mr. Kelen looked distressed, and Pixel slipped further into the gloom. But it was too late, he had already caught a glimpse of her.

She caught his gaze just as she heard the man exclaim, <<Say, I believe thats one of em, sir!>> He pointed directly at the girl who was now pressed against a building.

In a flash, she jumped back, aghast and fearful. She considered running straight past them, but although she was agile, they would likely catch her even sooner. She could run back to the alley, but then theyd all get caught. And by no means could she run into traffic!
