Sans has died because of the injection Gaster gave him, Gaster thought it was his fault, so to make things equal, he tried to suicide mission by killing Bete Noir/ Betty. He uses all of him power sources making him into a non-stop Awakened monster.
He still lived and killed Betty cause by Papyrus from his call. He fainted and Betty came back from the dead, but it wasn't the Betty they knew. It was Hate.
Gaster Awakening Form is a Soul Destroying form that kills himself and his target/s. Awakening Form is currently an unknown soul power.
