In a land very far from home, where the hunters live in peace, there was a girl... separate from the rest. She cared for all animals, and would help them no matter the cost. The upwalkers say.. she once broke her neck trying to help a cat get down from a huge tree.
On her 10th birthday, the Lockharts decided to go to the bird sanctuary.

About five minutes in, they heard a deafening thump outside the car.
