(I think this might be a series but idk yet)

I think a lot of people on this website don't know what editing is!

Editing is:
-seeing a skin you like, changing it, and putting a link to the original skin in the bio.
-You could also put the user and name of the skin in the bio to give credit!

Editing is not:
-Uploading a skin saying edit and not giving credit to the creator
-Using skin grabber and saying edit but not giving credit to the original creator
-Uploading an edit that you don't know who the original creator is and just saying edit
-Uploading any form of Namemc

Tips for editing:
-If you don't know who the original creator is just download the skin and place the file on the Minecraft website

ANY form of skin that does not have credit is considered stealing and me and my fellow skinners will not hesitate to report your skin as stolen!

If you wanna be popular on skindex, stealing is not gonna work. (I know from past experience)

I think skindex should have a feature where you could see who made the skin but we dont have that. I'll admit I've edited skins without knowing the creator because I don't post them.
I think I might start doing reshades of Namemc skins and uploading them because I've seen other popular creators do it and I would give credit if the creator commented on my skin. Not sure though.

I Agree- But What If You REALLLYYYY Wanna Edit A Skin, And You Cant Find The Creator? Like I Mean What If Its Not On Skindex?
And Im Sure There Are Alot Of People Like Me, Who Cant Get On Other Sites
Then just don't upload the skin to the public.

This is a well-needed message on skindex and I think a lot of people don't understand what editing is.
