Hopefully this isn't late? I think I submitted it on time...

I'll put the story in the comments, it's not amazing but it's ok I think. It's in 14 seperate comments, it's easier to read them by showing the oldest comments first.

My prompt was deer, so this is a sort of half deer girl... I'm not really sure.

Finally the gates clanged to a halt, and the crowd died down. Something cold slithered down her spine as a guard grabbed her and pulled her through the gate.
Luna stood next to her.
Ash frowned at Luna.
The guard hissed;
'Youre under
arrest.'

And the gates slammed shut.
She spun back and pushed her way to the front of the crowd, squeezing between the bodies tightly packed together and earning shouts and curses from all directions. She stumbled forward and found herself at the front, staring at the spiked iron gates which were creaking open. Ash tripped and was jostled forward by the mass of people behind her.
Ash shook her head and blinked up at the person standing before her. 'I-' she started, but whoever it was had already disappeared into the crowd that was now surrounding her. Still frowning, she followed their gaze to the border, where the gates were creaking open. She searched around for a real clock tower, finding one perched above the palace. Four minutes to two. The gates are opening early.
The journey across the Scorch had been perilous, but thirst and starvation were as fierce as any wild beast and had stolen away the rest of their team. Ash stopped before a clock tower bellowing the time of day. It sounded quite a lot like it was bellowing, Ash concluded, but then she frowned. Was it bellowing the time? The clock face didnt really have any hands, but it did have two eyes that were quite realistic. And a mouth. A mouth that was yelling something at her. Oh. Oh, wait.
She clambered out, shivering, and squinted back up at the wall. There was nobody there. Luna mustve found another way down. Ash glanced around, trying to figure out what was what and how to get to the gates. That was their mission. Ash and Luna had been the only two to survive their group that had been sent to make a home for the Animalia in Silverstone.
The noise filled her ears as she surfaced, the water hissing and bubbling playfully, tossing her downstream. The echoes disappeared and light exploded into her vision like a bomb being dropped. As her eyes focused, she was swept into a river which carried her towards the palace. The water shimmered like a tide of crystals fading from blue to pearly white. There was hardly any noise, only the rushing of the calm stream pushing her along.
Unfortunately this side of the wall was pristine and shone nearly as bright as everything else, clear of any plants or crumbling footholds that would help them down. Well, nearly. Ash sighed and shifted to the right, the sound of flowing water echoing in her ears. She grabbed the wall, swung her legs over the edge and dropped down into a waterfall.
Ash scowled. 'Hurry up. We need to get over there. The gates open in seven minutes.' Luna nodded, and leapt off the roof, dropping down into the wheat which towered nearly as high as the farmhouse. Ash followed her down, sighing at the less glamorous town of Scarbrooke. They crept up to the border, ivy spiralling down the grimy stone. They scrambled up onto the wall, and once again the glorious city lay before them.
From there, columns peered down on the exquisite palace gardens, balconies stretched out into the sunlight, and everything seemed to glow up at her. Ash sniffed. This was most certainly the Silverstone Empire. A thud from behind her and she spun, the dazzling white light still dancing behind her eyelids, in time to see Luna fall from the sky in a heap, scrambling to her feet immediately and focusing all her attention on not falling off.
At the Silverstone Empire borders:

Ash dropped down onto the roof, rolling over into a crouch and landing lightly on her toes. She narrowed her eyes as she surveyed the horizon. Shimmering birch trees sprouted gleefully from the shining grass, a large yellow sun illuminated the city as it awoke. Marble pillars twisted up from the floor, forming the ground floor of the Empress home.
