Abandoned - Contest Entry

Edward pushed through the brambles and thorns with his ally close behind him. They had to find the Everstone if they were to win this, er- battle. ' ' Edward, I'm not sure where you're going, but I don't think it's this way, ' ' a cat, his ally, called from behind. ' ' I'm not trying to find a specific spot, unless maybe YOU know where the Everstone is. ' ' He muttered, his long black spotted tail swayed. These cats could walk on their hind legs, and speak the common language of which most of the hind legged-walking animals used to speak with each other. The other cat nodded, ' ' I do: it's not here. ' ' Edward grumbled and continued on. Soon after awhile, he realized that she was not following. ' ' Sprinkles? ' ' He called out. He heard a faint cry of his name, then dropped on all fours and pelted towards the sound. He skidded to a halt when he saw Sprinkles perched on a wall, her orange tabby fur bristling. Edward leapt up, ' ' What? ' ' Sprinkles glanced at him, ' ' Look. ' '
