GOLDEN EAGLE FUN FACTS:
- Golden eagle pairs maintain territories that may be as large as 60 square miles!
- Golden eagles use their speed and sharp talons to hunt small mammals and reptiles. They have even been known to attack full grown deer, that's one brave bird!
- Sometimes, golden eagles will bring herbs/aromatics into their nest. It is believed this may keep bugs away, hmm
- Both parents will incubate the eggs, but it is mostly done by the female
- New nest material is added every year
