After vanquished a seconded time, Chaos refused to die and its Soul absorbed a Reactors power. His Soul now stronger and tainted comes for revenge... The reason he attacked the first time was because he was hungry for stars and was interrupted and attacked by the natives of the Solar System at the time.

Star = Radiation = food source

The Reactor which it crashed into was full of a dark substance know as ####, Chaos is just Armor or most conmanly known as Chaos Soul.
