- Chara's story

A Human fell down into the underground. her name was Chara. A small monster named Asriel found and
befriended her and his family took her in as their adopted child. one day, Chara had an idea. she would eat poisonous buttercup flowers so that Asriel could absorb her soul and they could get out of the underground (breaking the barrier that sealed them in the underground required one monster soul and one human soul). Asriel didn't like the plan, but he went along with it anyway. so Asriel absorbed Chara's soul after she died, and they went up to the surface. Asriel placed Chara's body on the flowers in the middle of her village, and thinking that Asriel killed Chara, the villagers attacked Asriel, leaving him badly wounded. he retreated to the underground, where he collapsed in the throne room.
