Help please?

Hi! So, I was wondering if you guys could tell me how to make great skins. I am mostly editing other peoples skins on my account XD so I was wondering if you could give me advice? I have trouble with:
How to make good clothes
How to make the skin look good
Mostly I have trouble with the clothes though. When I start from scratch (even if I look at other skins as a guide) they turn out horribly. You should try texturing, just putting a few shades of darker and lighter colors randomly yet evenly all over the body in one-pixel spots. Sry if that's confusing, lol!

here is a tip: reference!
i tend to go look at namemc (and other skinners) when i need some inspo or just need to know a shape for a skin. (for example, caps and hoodies)
just don't forget to leave cred whoever you referenced!

personally i struggle with good pallets (and consistent uploads lol). also i personally hand-pick colors (unless im shading w/ opacity in pmcskin3d) instead of the darken/lighten color tool on this editor.

There are videos by ElvinJedi on shading. They help a lot for beginners

You should check out skins under the tag 'school of Skindex ' I just read a good lesson about shading and hue shifting from Aesthetics (a user) Personally, I think you are doing great, but there is always room for improvement! :) Hope this helps <3

you are graet, but if you think you can do better take some simple patterns of shading you like and mash them together to skin until you lke it (i was bad when i was a baginer and I have improved ) ;)

Just practise lol! Try new things and get feedback! You can look at popular skinners for inspo, or you can use your surroundings! Hope this helped!
