I know the smart thing to do was to find a flight attendant or someone who could help, but I didnt want to attract any attention.
Sighing in defeat, I just move over to the seat next to him, hoping it isnt already taken.
This is going to be a /very/ long flight.
''Um,'' I shake them slightly, then tap the top of their head when I still get no response.
Thats when I realize they arent just sleeping.
But not completely dead. Just unconscious, I think. They couldnt have even gotten here if they were dead.
...and find that its already occupied.
Huh.
''Excuse me, sir'' I tap the shoulder of the person in the seat, ''I think youve made a mistake. You see, this is my-''
He doesnt even look up at me.
''Sir!'' I raise my voice slightly, trying to not attract any unwanted attention.
Still no response.
''Tell everyone back home I said goodbye!'' I shout behind my shoulder.
Walking over to the gate, I hand the lady my ticket, which she scans and hands back to me.
Once Ive made my way onto the plane, I glance down at my ticket again. Seat B3. Ok, thats easy enough to find.
''I know, Savannah, I know.'' The voice of my mother pulls at my heartstrings. ''Its just hard to let you go. Be sure to send lots of letters and postcards.''
I laugh softly to myself. My parents havent caught up with the times yet and sometimes forget that technology even exists. ''Theres a thing called texting, you know.''
(Savannahs POV, New York)
Apparently not all airports are what youd usually expect.
I mean, unless finding an unconscious person on the airplane is normal. Im not an expert on these kinds of things.
''May I have your attention, everyone. Flight number thirteen will be taking off in five minutes. Please go to gate three if this is your flight. Thank you.'' A loud voice stirred me out of my thoughts.
