Shadows and Sunlight - Chapter 2

forms a ball of light as the spell circle appears. ''Reveal your true powers to me. My name is Sakura, and I command you! /Release!/''

''Is that your magic staff for spells?'' Tomoyo asks as I let out a breath, turning around to her. Yugi's eyes are wide as he admires the staff.

''Well, I need the cards, too.'' I admit. Kero pulls out the FLY card. I swear I could've seen Yugis eyes turn narrow and crimson for a split second, but I shrug it off.

''You mean this?'' Kero announces. I flinch

up at the mention of his name.

''What?'' both of us say, Yugi confused and me slightly terrified.

''That's a great idea, Tomoyo!'' Kero says. I try to voice a disagreement. ''This is perfect! No one's around but us four.'' I try to voice another disagreement. ''Besides, I wanna know what /he/ can do!'' Yugi cringes. I stand up, walking forward a little. With a deep breath, I pull out the key, wind blowing, and hold my hand out, saying the incantation.

''Reveal your secret powers to me...'' it

''That's just incredible!'' She turns away, and I bet her eyes are gleaming right now. ''The Cardcaptor is here to protect our town from the disastrous Clow Cards!'' my eyes open wide and Yugi turns around to face her. ''That's so cool!''

''Come on, Tomoyo, I can't do anything like that!'' I wave off her compliment.

''Oh no, I'm sure you can!'' she reaches forward for my hand, grasping it. ''Do you think you can show me some of your special magic, Sakura? Oh, and your scythes, Yugi!'' he perks

laugh, having returned to his normal self... I think.

''MY NAME IS NOT UP FOR DISCUSSION!'' Kero smacks a paw to his chest proudly. ''My name is Kerberos, the guardian of the Seal, the protector of the Clow Cards!''

''Clow Cards?'' Tomoyo asks.

''You slept on the job.'' Yugi deadpans, his voice slightly deeper. Kero growls at him. Yugi looks away to watch the game, eating his lunch and probably half-listening in as Kero explains how I became the Cardcaptor while I eat my lunch. Tomoyo claps.

''Oh.'' she says, looking at his gaping mouth. ''He doesn't look like a kerberos to me.''

''Hey...'' she admires the camera before turning to Kero. ''Wow, its you!''

Kero plops down during free time, leaning against my bag while sighing. ''It's hot in there.'' We've set up picnic in a secluded spot, Yugi having joined us, although he seems... different, somehow.

''Why did you hide in there?'' I ask Kero.

I see right before it cuts out another Yugi, floating beside us, but I'm pretty sure my mind is playing tricks on me. I stare at the camera for a bit.

''Are you on cleaning duty as well this morning?'' I ask.

''That's next week. But Yugi here is on cleaning duty.'' she looks over to mystery

classroom.''

''Are you sure?'' I ask him. He nodded a yes. I clench them, marveling at them. ''Oh, thank you so much for these!'' I exclaim.

''Nice to see you again.'' he smiles. I skate away, waving and thanking him. I almost trip, before turning down a road.

''Ah... he's wonderful!'' I smile, clenching the flowers. I arrive in the classroom, sliding the door open.

''Yes! I made it first!'' I exclaim, setting my bag down on my desk and sitting in it. I stretch out and look over when I hear
