I don't remember falling asleep or being in this room.' I thought to myself. She's awake, the boy said, to the doctors. Good They replied and looked down at me again.

This looks very bad.. A voice beside me whispered. She was lucky to survive such an impact, whatever it may be A second hushed voice stated. I opened my eyes and looked around me. Two people with white coats on and nametags that read Jenny and Matt stared back at me along with the boy who had walked me somewhere, sitting in the back of the room.

The wind pushed my hair into my face and as I reached toward my head to push it away, I silently screamed in horror as I stared at my hand. It was covered in fresh red blood. He nodded at my expression then helped me away.

The buildings cast shadows, hiding away the trees that longed-for morning sunlight. A mother with her two daughters saw me, her mouth wide open as she pulled her children to the other side and covered their view. Why were people doing this to me? A boy younger than the man that had passed by earlier came rushing up to me. Are you okay? He asked in a worried tone. I think I am perfectly fine, I told him. I think you're wrong about that, He said looking me up and down once more.

As I staggered closer and closer, the sun peeked out from the horizon and started making its way up into the sky. More and more figures, now resembling cars and people walked to and from buildings. As I entered the outskirts of the city. A man walking by took one look at me and picked his pace up. What looked so wrong about me? The smell of some sweet dessert floated in the air. My stomach burned with hunger. Up until then, I hadn't realized how hungry I had become.

Going at the pace of a snail it was nearly dawn by the time I had come closer. The dots now clearly resembled glowing street lights and windows of buildings in a small city. A couple of figures in the faraway city moved about. Almost there... I told myself through a parched throat.

The sky was a pitch-black when I woke up. A surge of pain shot through my arm and my head throbbed. I slowly sat up, the pain piercing through my entire body. 'Where was I?' I squinted into the distance and noticed glowing dots lighting the horizon. The wind picked up. This isn't good I whispered. I picked myself up from the sandy shore and stood. My head roared with pain as I slowly started toward the spots of light. T-they sure a-are far away... I stammered to no one.
