orange sun symbol with black detailing appearing, shooting his hand past it, and spinning it, only for sparks to fly everywhere. He muttered something probably inappropriate in another language.

We continued moving to the base, which was swarming with patrols and searchlights.

''Crap.'' I muttered, halting on the edge of a building, overlooking the edge. Yami pointed to a few spots we could reach via jumping, and I nod. Him pulling a black hood up outta nowhere, we take off.

the unasked question of mine. Yells and shouts come echoing down the alleyway, informing us of the Hyper Guard nearby. Yami leaps up onto a ledge, beckoning me to follow. I nod, jumping up after him. He looks over the ledge once we're on top of the building and softly gasped, turning to me. I raise an eyebrow.

''Kuya. In our world, she's my daughter. Probably still is here.'' My eyes widen. Sundown was almost upon us, and the device on his left wrist glowed a dark orange. He smirked, a faded

letting go. ''So I'm dead?''

''Yugi, you've /always/ been dead.'' Yami replied.

''No, that was you, /Pharaoh./'' Yugi spat back, getting him a pair of rolling eyes from Yami. I hold up a hand.

''Look, we need to /go,/ but one, I can't explain that there's two of you, and two, that /you,/'' I glare at Yugi, making my point, ''two are back from the dead.'' They look at each other and shrug. Nodding to me, Yugi disappears.

''Dont worry, he's simply gone spectral form.'' Yami waves off the

a 'WHAT?!' Yami side-stepped away as Yugi paced back and forth, throwing what sounded like questions at Yami in another language? Yami answered a few, but I think most of them were rhetorical. When Yami caught my confusion, he shrugged. I sighed before grabbing Yugi who immediately stopped pacing and somewhat yelling.

''Explain.'' I demanded. He sighed.

''We're from an alternate reality and we need to 'rescue' our dimensional counterparts.''

''And?''

''...That's pretty much it.'' I sigh,

I noticed his crimson red eyes, and the younger one had wide amethyst ones. Besides their age and voice, those were the only key factors in their difference.

''My name is Yami,'' the older one continued, ''and this is Yugi.'' the younger one grinned. I couldn't put my finger on /why/ the younger- I mean Yugi, looked so familiar before something clicked when he said his name, so I pointed at Yugi.

''You. You're supposed to be dead.'' Yugi took that piece of info rather well, and then yelled out

anything... hmm...) Their hair changed colors, from the blue with red outlining and golden bangs (the older one had the red and blue reversed) to a black with dark magenta outlining with golden-yellow bangs. (which had a purple-to-magenta tip on the left bang, which has fallen down.) When the boy took in his surroundings - mainly the person who's lap he's in - they hugged each other, causing me to smile a little as they stood up.

''Thank you.'' the older one bowed, and I did the same.

eyes. I pull out a healing potion that I totally didn't steal from a common bystander while weaving through the crowds.

/Okay, I did./

''Here.'' I offer him the potion, in which he's skeptical at first, but slowly takes it, and his friend drinks it the medicine - somehow. A few seconds later, his eyes fluttered open. I notice the change in them now: the armor is gone, replaced by a dark-blue jacket with a black shirt and dark blue pants. (both of them have belts, but not for guns or

I dash forward, pulling out my swords - the other person makes way when he hears me, not missing a beat, eyes wide - and stab the cloud, causing it to reel in pain (somehow.) The other person holds out his hand, yelling something that I cant hear over the wind of the portal closing. I stare at the bare wall, trying to comprehend what the stupid crap just happened while the other person kneels beside his unconscious friend.

''Yugi...'' he murmurs, cradling his friend, a look of concern in his
