''almost-astronauts''

There are too many good quotes XDDDDDD
THAT WAS SO GOOD!

And yes, you captured Maggie perfectly XDDD
alright, you can comment now.
tell me what you think
''Now,'' the same scientist took a deep breath as all of our gazes traveled over to him. ''You ready?''
''Chill, Lynn. No one wants to hear your complaining.'' A girl with wavy brown hair gave her snarky response.

''Just like no one wants to hear you speaking, /Magdalene/.''

Me and all of the other volunteers watched in amusement before one of the scientists broke the fight up. ''Stop. Now, I would like to introduce you to all of your fellow almost-astronauts.''
''Dominick,'' He said, motioning to the black haired guy, who waved politely.

Next he motioned to me. ''Makaela.''

''I prefer Shave,'' I cut in, and everyone nodded.

''Magdalene, and Lynn.'' He pointed to the girls who were arguing.

''Addalia,'' The pretty girl with the curly hair grinned.

''And Logan.'' A boy with short brown hair looked up.

A guy with black hair whose name I didn't know spoke up. ''One's in the bathroom, and the second is right there, hiding by the door.'' He pointed to me.

Suddenly, I had eight pairs of eyes staring into my soul. Three scientists and five volunteers. I forced a smile and gave a wave, trying to look friendly.

''Oh, lets just get on with this.'' A French accent piped up, making it's way into the room. ''Now that I'm /ready/ can we please be shot up in some rocket into what might be our death?''
Now, you may be wondering why I, of all people, would volunteer to go into space? You see, I was in it for the long shot. I wasn't going to /die/ on that planet with it's unbreathable air. Nope, not me. Besides, no one else wanted to go.

A voice stirred me out of my thoughts. ''Alright, is everyone here? One, two, three, four...there's the fifth. Oh, we're missing two.I thought everyone was supposed to be here by now?''

Yep, that's one of the said scientists who's about to ship us into space.
(Journal Entry 1, POV: ???)

If someone told me I would be going into space for some life or death mission, I would have laughed. I mean, out of all people, me? I'm not exactly what you what call an /astronaut./ I have a half shaved head and raid houses for a living. Not that you would blame me, though. After that asteroid hit-

Oh, wait. I should better explain that.
Seven months ago, every person in the world thought they were going to die.
No one knew about the asteroid and no one was prepared. Millions of people died and homes were destroyed. It was every person for themselves. The survivors were raiding each other's houses just to find food and water.
Then that's where I come in.
A group of scientists made the descision that was either going to kill me or let me live. They had decided to send a group of seven people to go live on Mars for a year. I just happened to be one of those people.
