Once they were gone, her father started to speak. 'Zoey. It's time' he said softly 'You've kept this a secret from us, ALL of us much too long' Lise's mom was still heaving with guttural sobs. As her father calmed her mom down, Lise was forgetting how to speak. She had never seen such a situation like her mom in tatters, and her dad showing love. After what seemed like forever, both parents were enveloped in a grim silence. Her mother spoke up.

'Lise, I should tell you something'
(Sorry about that massive wait, had to do something) Somehow, the papers resonated a sense of authority. They made Lise feel small and insignificant. As soon as her mom saw where Lise was looking, she scrambled to gather them. At this point, Connor and Avery were hiding behind Lise, who had edged into the living room. Both the younger kids could feel trouble brewing. As soon as their mom wasn't looking at them, they scrambled out of the room. Lise and her mom heard the door slam.
What's more, her father was face was projected on her mom's laptop, and he was grim. Lise's mom looked up, her face streaked with tears. 'Lise?' She looked like she tried to compose herself, but she failed. She burst into tears again. While her mom was failing to form the words, failing to breathe slowly, her father cut in and said 'Tell her.' Lise's mom looked hesitant, still crying. Lise managed to tear her eyes from her mother's wrecked face to what lay on the table. Papers, strewn everywhere
Ahaha, here we go again. You know what to not do.
