Jun isn't what you'd define as a normal 17 year old. No, it's not powers, but tech and science mixing into an equivalent of powers. Seems like something straight out of Big Hero 6, doesn't it? He timeline jumps using a watch he made that allows the user to jump to different timelines. He has friends from his own, but sticks around another timeline, as he's found someone who's like a little brother to him.
So he just stays there, just to be with him and take care of him.
