The year is 6E 439. Old Dragonsreach, the ruins north of Neo Riverwood, is rumoured to be cursed by a half-man. They say he was once a Jarl, a ruler of sorts, in the portion of the province they called Whiterun.

They say he lingers there, guarding the old ruins. The Ghost of Jarls Past.

Because he's on the side of Whiterun, forevermore...
