I sighed, turning the corner. How did I, Ruby Bryant, get stuck in a boarding school? Why couldn't my parents just trust me enough to let me stay home? All of this was insane. I know what my parents would say. Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do. That was definitely true.
I grunted, swinging my backpack over my shoulders, walking towards the direction of my dorm. About a hundred other kids were running through the hallway, laughing and gossiping carelessly.
Even though it was the first day, they all knew each other.
Alright! Classes are done for the day, everyone go to your rooms and no running!
