I arrived at the rink at 7:09am. I could still make it! I ran as fast as my legs could carry me towards the entrance to the ice center. Once my socks and ice skates were on, I dashed to the girls ice rink and slid onto the ice. I did it! I had made it on time!
Ashley! Weve been waiting for you! And youre 2 minutes late! Strike 1 of the day!My instructor Victoria yelled at me.

Thankfully, for some KA-RAY-ZEE reason, Victoria uses the method '4 strikes, your out'.

'Mrs. Instructor, but I-'
'No buts! Thats strike 3!' Victoria yelled.

I glided over the edge of the rink and made a graceful pose. The music started and I began my figure 8. Unfortunately, my starting position was right next to the props pile, so my sweater fuzz caught onto a prop and I began dragging it along with me in the routine. I desperately tried to pry the prop off my sweater, but it wouldnt budge. Victoria caught me dragging a giant fishing pole behind me and began her rant.

'Sorry...' I murmured. I didnt like my instructor very much.
'And you forgot it was dress rehearsal for the show today! Victoria fumed. 'Strike 2!' Great. It was only 3 minutes into rehearsal and I had already earned 2 strikes.
'Alright, girls! Starting position!' Victoria shouted through a megaphone, purposely right next to my ear.
